Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering custom packaging should not feel complicated. At GoTo Boxes, we make it easier to choose the right box style, material, size, printing and finishing options for your products.

Whether you are placing a small order, preparing for a new product launch or purchasing packaging in bulk, our team can guide you through each stage of the process.

Explore the frequently asked questions below to learn more about our custom boxes, artwork requirements, design support, production and delivery services.

1. Is there a minimum order quantity for custom boxes?

No, GoTo Boxes has no minimum order requirement.

You can order the quantity that works for your business, whether you need a single prototype, a small batch for testing or a larger wholesale order. This gives you greater control over your packaging budget and helps prevent unnecessary stock or storage costs.

The price per box may become more cost-effective when you order a larger quantity.

2. How long will my custom packaging order take?

Our standard turnaround time is approximately 8–10 working days after your final artwork has been approved and payment has been confirmed.

The exact timeframe may depend on your box style, order quantity, material, printing requirements and selected finishes. More complex packaging designs may require additional production time.

Please share your deadline when requesting a quote so our team can provide suitable guidance before your order is confirmed.

3. Do you provide free shipping?

Yes, free shipping is available on custom packaging orders.

Your estimated production and delivery schedule will be confirmed during the ordering process. We recommend approving your artwork promptly if your packaging is required for a particular product launch, event or promotion.

4. Can I print my logo on the boxes?

Yes. Your boxes can be printed with your company logo, brand colours, product information and custom artwork.

You can also include patterns, illustrations, instructions, QR codes, social media details and promotional messages. Our goal is to create packaging that reflects your brand and presents your product professionally.

5. Can I provide my own packaging design?

Absolutely. You are welcome to send us your completed design or existing brand artwork.

Our team will review the files before printing to check the layout, dimensions, image quality, bleed areas and positioning. If small adjustments are required to make your artwork suitable for production, our designers can help prepare it.

6. Do you offer free design support?

Yes, free design support is available with custom packaging orders.

You can send us your logo, brand colours, text and design ideas, and our team will help prepare the artwork for your selected box style. We can also assist with artwork placement, panel layout and print preparation.

Design support makes the process easier for businesses that do not already have complete print-ready packaging artwork.

7. Can you create packaging in a custom size?

Yes. Our boxes can be produced in custom dimensions to fit your product.

To receive an accurate quote, provide the required length, width and depth of the box. Measurements should normally be supplied as internal dimensions so the finished packaging provides enough room for the product.

If you are unsure how to measure your product, our team can guide you.

8. What packaging materials are available?

We offer a variety of materials to suit different products, budgets and presentation requirements.

Common options include:

  • Cardboard
  • Cardstock
  • Kraft board
  • Corrugated board
  • Rigid board
  • Recycled and recyclable stocks

The most suitable material will depend on the weight of your product, the level of protection required and the appearance you want to achieve.

9. What types of custom boxes do you offer?

GoTo Boxes provides a wide selection of custom packaging styles for retail products, online orders, gifts, cosmetics, food items and many other applications.

Available styles can include:

  • Mailer boxes
  • Product boxes
  • Display boxes
  • Tuck-end boxes
  • Sleeve boxes
  • Window boxes
  • Kraft boxes
  • Corrugated boxes
  • Rigid boxes
  • Gift boxes
  • Pillow boxes
  • Gable boxes
  • Auto-lock boxes
  • Custom-shaped packaging

Your chosen style can be customised with your required dimensions, artwork, material and finishing options.

10. Can you help me select the right box style?

Yes. You do not need to know the technical name of the box before contacting us.

Tell us what product you are packaging, its dimensions, approximate weight and how the box will be used. It is also helpful to explain whether the packaging will be displayed in a shop, posted directly to customers or placed inside an outer shipping carton.

Our team can then recommend a practical box style and material for your product.

11. How do I place an order?

Start by completing the quotation form and providing your packaging requirements.

The ordering process normally includes the following stages:

  1. Send us your box dimensions, quantity and packaging requirements.
  2. Upload your artwork or share your design ideas.
  3. Receive and review your personalised quotation.
  4. Approve the final artwork or digital proof.
  5. Confirm payment so production can begin.
  6. Receive your completed packaging within the agreed timeframe.

Our team will remain available throughout the process if you need assistance.

12. Will I receive a proof before printing?

Yes. A digital proof or mock-up can be provided before your order enters production.

The proof allows you to check the artwork placement, text, logo, colours and overall layout. You should review all spelling, contact details, product information and design elements carefully before approving it.

Production begins after the final artwork has been approved.

13. Can I make changes after receiving the digital proof?

Yes. You can request reasonable artwork changes before giving final approval.

Our team will update the design and send the revised version for you to review. Once you approve the final proof and production begins, further changes may not be possible.

It is therefore important to check every detail carefully before confirming your approval.

14. Can I order a physical sample?

Physical samples may be available on request.

A sample can help you review the dimensions, material, structure and overall appearance of your proposed packaging before proceeding with a larger order.

A fully customised printed sample may be chargeable because it requires individual setup, printing, cutting and finishing. Sample availability and pricing will depend on your packaging specifications.

15. Which artwork file formats should I provide?

Vector artwork or a high-resolution print-ready PDF usually provides the best printing results.

Preferred formats can include:

  • AI
  • EPS
  • PDF
  • PSD

High-resolution JPG and PNG files may also be reviewed, depending on the design. Images should ideally be supplied at approximately 300 DPI at the required print size.

Our team can check your files and advise you if any changes are needed.

16. Will the printed colours match my screen exactly?

Colours shown on a computer or mobile screen may appear slightly different when printed.

Screens display colours using RGB light, while packaging is generally printed using CMYK or specified PMS colours. Screen brightness, monitor settings, paper stock, coatings and finishes can all influence the final appearance.

An exact screen-to-print match cannot always be guaranteed. Please let us know if precise brand colour matching is particularly important for your order.

17. What printing methods are available?

The printing method used will depend on your artwork, box material, quantity and colour requirements.

Options may include:

  • Digital printing
  • Offset printing
  • CMYK printing
  • PMS colour printing
  • Single-colour printing
  • Full-colour printing

Our team will recommend a suitable method based on your design and order specifications.

18. What finishing options and add-ons can I choose?

A range of finishes can be used to enhance the appearance and feel of your packaging.

Available options may include:

  • Gloss lamination
  • Matt lamination
  • Soft-touch lamination
  • Spot UV
  • Foil stamping
  • Embossing
  • Debossing
  • Window cut-outs
  • Custom inserts
  • Ribbons
  • Magnetic closures

Availability will depend on the selected material and box style. Our designers can help you choose finishes that complement your artwork without making the packaging look overcrowded.

19. Do you provide environmentally responsible packaging options?

Yes. Recyclable, recycled and Kraft material options are available for customers looking for more environmentally responsible packaging.

The sustainability of a box can also depend on its coatings, laminations, inks and additional components. If reducing packaging waste is important to your business, mention this when requesting your quote.

Our team can help you explore suitable material and finishing options.

20. Do you make packaging for small businesses?

Yes. We work with start-ups, independent sellers, online shops and established brands.

Because there is no minimum order requirement, smaller businesses can order professional custom packaging without purchasing more boxes than they currently need. You can begin with a short run and increase the quantity when your business grows.

21. Can I order custom boxes in bulk?

Yes. Wholesale and bulk quantities are available for businesses that require regular or high-volume packaging.

Larger orders can provide a more competitive cost per box and help you maintain consistent branding across your product range.

Send us your required quantity, dimensions and specifications to receive a personalised bulk quotation.

22. Are the boxes supplied flat or assembled?

Many folding carton, mailer and corrugated box styles are supplied flat to reduce storage space and make transportation more efficient.

These boxes are designed to be folded or assembled when required. Rigid and specialist packaging styles may be supplied differently depending on their structure.

The supply format can be confirmed before your order moves into production.

23. Can the inside of the box also be printed?

Yes. Selected packaging styles can be printed on both the outside and inside.

Interior printing can include brand colours, patterns, instructions, thank-you messages, social media details or promotional content. It is an effective way to create a more memorable unboxing experience.

Let us know that you require double-sided printing when requesting your quote.

24. Can you add inserts to hold my product securely?

Yes. Custom inserts can be created to hold products securely and improve their presentation.

Insert options may include cardboard, Kraft, corrugated or other suitable materials, depending on the product and packaging style.

To design an accurate insert, we may require your product measurements or a physical product sample.

25. Can you create packaging for different products and industries?

Yes. We provide custom packaging for a wide variety of products and business sectors.

This can include packaging for cosmetics, jewellery, candles, clothing, gifts, electronics, retail products, subscription items, food products and promotional goods.

When requesting a quote, explain what the box will contain and mention any special requirements, such as additional protection, inserts, ventilation or direct product contact.

26. Do you charge for custom die-cut shapes?

Custom shapes and structural features can be discussed as part of your packaging quotation.

GoTo Boxes provides no die-cut charges on eligible custom box orders, helping you create packaging in the required size and shape without unnecessary setup costs.

The complete price will be confirmed before you approve the order.

27. Can I reorder the same packaging design?

Yes. You can reorder your previous packaging design when you need additional stock.

Please provide your earlier order details so our team can locate the relevant specifications and artwork. You can reorder the same design or request updates to the text, colours, dimensions or other design elements.

Any changes should be approved through a new proof before printing.
